Stramit Exacta® purlins are dimensionally optimized for the most commonly used spans, with capacity improvements of up to 20%.
For large purlin spans, above 6 or 6.5 metres, the outward capacity of Exacta® sections exceeds that of heavier standard purlin sections. Even with an extra row of bridging, the higher performance of Exacta® purlins can deliver considerable cost savings on commercial and industrial buildings.
By using the free Stramit EX-facta™ design software, engineers can easily design for irregular configurations and complex loadings, using Stramit’s exclusive purlin moment capacity design method.
The EX-facta™ program displays nominal section efficiencies within each span. The user can mix spans and thicknesses, change lap lengths, vary loads within spans and reposition bridging, then see critical and over-designed sections at a glance.
