| Technical data on “green” Soundguard products is free to specifiers. | In addition to offering proven performance, the Soundguard flagship range of soundproofing products from Pyrotek has been shown to involve no ozone depleting substances (ODS) or volatile organic compounds (VOC) in their composition or manufacture.
This was confirmed recently by an audit of well-known Soundguard brand names including Wavebar, Quadzero, Soundlag, Sorberfoam, Sorberflex, Sorbertex and laminates thereof, to criteria laid down by relevant “green” standards-setting organisations.
Evaluations were made against the US EPA List of Ozone Depleting Substances (Class 1 and Class 2) and definitions stated under the Australia National Pollutant Inventory, The Council of the European Union, Council Directive 1999/13/EC or the USA EPA regulation 40 CFR 51.100(s).
The findings leave specifiers confident that their preferred choices of Soundguard products also meet the expectations of ABGR (Australian Building Greenhouse Rating) and GBCA (Green Building Council of Australia) Green Star Rating Scheme EMI-9 (Insulant ODP).
Specifiers also have at their disposal top technical support for the Soundguard range including a hotline, interactive website with at-a-click solutions selector, specifier’s technical data catalogue and accompanying CD-ROM.
By offering cost effective, environmentally friendly, non-toxic polymers that are 100% recyclable, Soundguard products fulfil green building initiatives’ aims to reduce the environmental impact of buildings, improve occupant health and productivity, and achieve real savings. |
