Bridging the gap between form and function, Hunter Douglas Techstyle ceiling offers endless design possibilities and acoustic benefits, heralding a new era in the design of Australian commercial ceilings.
Launched at DesignEx in Melbourne on 19th April 2007, where it received a DesignEx Product Design Award in the Surface Finishes category, the key benefit of the Techstyle ceiling is its unprecedented acoustic performance as a result of the absorption of both high and low frequencies thanks to the honeycomb panel design. Techstyle significantly outperforms other comparable mineral fibre ceilings to emerge as the clear market leader in acoustic ceilings.
Techstyle has the option of luminescence, which involves placing a light source behind the non-woven polyester fabric panels, making the ceiling ‘glow’. Luminescence provides a unique design feature and can be altered with various coloured light sources to evoke different moods and effects.
Techstyle is simple to install with an integrated clip/hinge system that leaves the panels clean and untouched, allowing them to swing safely away during access. The self-aligning panels provide a consistently narrow 6mm reveal, ensuring uniformity across any space, including curved surfaces.
Techstyle comes with the added advantage of significant environmental benefits, as it contains no volatile organic compounds, preserves indoor air quality and is 100 percent recyclable. The durable panels also ensure a long product lifespan.
