HVG's Queensland investment grows with launch of new Brisbane premises
Monday 10th March 2008

Following its acquisition of Alucobond Architectural and Octanorm in 2007, Halifax Vogel Group (HVG) is opening brand new premises for its Queensland operations, located in Brisbane’s burgeoning Logan Valley area.

The new premises represent a $3 million investment by HVG, bringing together the staff and operations from the existing Alucobond Architectural and Octanorm Australia premises at Murarrie and HVG premises at Acacia Ridge, and will be launched on Thursday 13 March, 2008.

“The opening of our new facility at Carole Park will increase supply opportunities for our clients, with more stock on hand and streamlined processes for purchase and distribution,” said Cheryl Calvert, Queensland Manager, Halifax Vogel Group.

“The extensive new site will also provide a safe and spacious working environment for our loyal staff.”

The new facility is state-of-the-art, and where possible uses materials from the Halifax Vogel Group’s portfolio. Products used in the building and fit out include Creastyle Laminates and Metallics, Alucobond, Smartstone Bench Tops, Smartstone Floor Tiles, Alnet Extrablock Shadecloth, Octanorm and various products from HVG’s graphic division for signage.

“These new premises will complement the newly increased HVG market offer, and enable us to have much larger stocks of Alucobond in Brisbane, to service our Queensland customers better than ever before. We now have all of the fastest moving Alucobond colours in stock with more to come in the future,” said Bruce Rayment, CEO, Alucobond Architectural and Octanorm Australia.

Lewis Saragossi, Managing Director of Australia’s leading integrated glass and aluminium manufacturer and contractor, G. James Glass and Aluminium, will officially open the premises. G. James has a long-running partnership with Alucobond Architectural and Octanorm Australia as a valued customer and supplier of materials.

With the warehouse and office space covering a combined area of almost 3,000 square metres, the new site provides more than sufficient workspace for the 20 staff who will operate out of the premises. The expansive grounds also allow for future growth, ensuring that Halifax Vogel Group’s new address stays relevant for as long as possible.

The new HVG premises are located at 128 – 132 Mica St, Carole Park, QLD.
