Cemintel unveils new generation facade system

Cemintel™ Fibre Cement Systems has launched Residential RendaLine™, an innovative lightweight façade system for residential buildings.
The system has been designed for residential and small commercial projects, and is ideal for upper storey additions. It can be used on new and existing homes, extensions, as well as light commercial applications.
The launch of Residential RendaLine coincides with growth in the total expenditure by Australian homeowners on second storey extensions; in 2005 the figure stood at $1.05bn, with the amount rising to $1.147bn in 2006*.
Residential RendaLine is Cemintel’s latest advance in residential external cladding system technology. It allows builders and renovators to produce the look of rendered masonry-style exteriors with the ease of lightweight construction to offer a sleek, contemporary look. The system utilises a standard timber or steel structural frame with a batten spacer fixed to the outside of the framing. RendaLine sheets are then affixed to the battens.
Designed as a complete system, Residential RendaLine can be used in conjunction with other Cemintel products, such as RendaLine Preformed Reveals, Window Sills and Corners to form corners, recessed windows and door openings to complete the cladding process. Cemintel’s Jointing and Coating system can then be applied to provide a seamless, durable finish.
