Trend Windows and Doors has added bifold and hinged doors to the
Xtreme range, designed for bushfire-prone areas.
Suitable for extreme bushfire zones, the Xtreme door and window
range from Trend Windows and Doors has been expanded, with new Xtreme
bifold and hinged doors.
The Xtreme range withstands temperatures up to 40 kW without failure
from either the window system or from the glazing, to help prevent internal
ignition of houses and loss of precious possessions.
With Australian urban population areas pushing closer to bushfire-prone
areas, building loss through bushfire has become a widespread concern.
Windows and doors are considered the most susceptible areas for bushfire
damage. Most houses destroyed in bushfires survive the passing of the fire,
only to burn down later due to damage from either glazing failure or window
system failure, allowing airborne debris to enter the building and ignite.
