Stramit products were used for formwork, framing, decking and cladding
on this house by Morphosis Architects.
Melbourne designer Ian Freeman of Morphosis Architects responded to
the challenge of building on a steep site with an innovative home design
based entirely on steel building components.
Mr Freeman worked closely with Stramit to ensure the steel products
specified provided the required strength, structural integrity, long life and
aesthetic appeal. Stramit products included Condeck HP formwork, steel
floor framing and Speed Deck Ultra roof decking. Stramit Monopanel
cladding rolled from Colorbond Metallic steel provided a stylish finish on
the house’s facade – with the added advantages of ready availability, easy
installation and economy.
