Members of the public will be able to view some of Australia’s most innovative and exciting new architectural projects this weekend during ‘round one’ of the 2008 Royal Australian Institute of Architects (RAIA) NSW Architecture Awards.
All 150-plus entrants in the 2008 RAIA NSW Architecture Awards will present to awards jurors this Saturday 29 March 2008 in Sydney - providing an opportunity for the public to see some of the country’s newest architectural masterpieces – from residential through to urban design and public architecture.
In three separate spaces, panels of judges will simultaneously consider presentations from NSW’s premier architects. Categories include residential, commercial & public buildings, heritage, interior architecture, urban design, small projects and sustainability. Entrants give an audio-visual presentation of five minutes, followed by questions from the judges.
The presentation day is open to all members of the public, and anyone with an interest in design directions within contemporary Australian architecture is encouraged to attend.
