Miglas' Ali-Clad range is hardwood timber frames with exterior aluminium cladding, double glazed (glass) windows and doors. The external aluminium cladding can be powder-coated in a range of architectural colours, and provides a low-maintenance, long-life product that overall achieves the thermal and aesthetic benefits of timber.
Miglas windows are certified under the Window Energy Rating Scheme (WERS). Product achieves low U-value ratings (indicating a higher resistance to heat flow) and low air infiltration results (indicating minimal leakage), indicating better performing windows. The range is also designed to achieve 3 to 4 cooling and heating star energy ratings, indicating that the window will substantially reduce solar heat gain and winter heat loss and can contribute to a 5+ star energy rating of your project.
The Truth hardware and locks provide easy operation and security for windows. Electric power window operation for fresh air ventilation and hot air purging, and electronic door locking is available. The product is fully sealed to prevent condensation and provide noise reduction and thermal efficiency. A 7 year warranty is offered and the product range has an expected life of 50 years plus if properly maintained.
