MastaBoard AcoustiControl
Ceiling Installation
Lafarge MastaBoard AcoustiControl can be fixed to timber or steel frame, with framing members at 600mm centres.

For timber installation the use of 30mm high-low thread, gypsum screws is required. Steel frames require 25mm 6 gauge gypsum screws.

The gap is filled with 100mm (10.5kg/m3) mineral wool, placed directly on the back of Lafarge MastaBoard AcoustiControl.

Joints are set according to the Lafarge PlastaMasta General Installation Technical Bulletin TB100. Care should be taken during joint-setting to avoid obstruction of perforations.

Painting
In order to obtain the best finish with Lafarge MastaBoard AcoustiControl Lafarge recommends using roller application for paint. Roller application applies a uniform texture over the entire surface and protects the glass mat fixed to the back of the plasterboard. For all other recommendations regarding decoration refer to Lafarge PlastaMasta General Installation Technical Bulletin TB100.
