  DUGITE BOLLARDS
  Install, Maintain : Index

Image Bollards can install any of their products for you, alternately you may arrange installation yourself.

Dugite Retractable Bollards
  • Installation:
All retractable bollards have the ground sleeve/casing installed into a ground cavity filled with aggregate followed by concrete. The concrete is finished off at ground level and can be oxided to complement the existing hard ground finish (ie black for bitumen, red for red paving etc)
  • Maintenance:
Retractable bollards should not remain in either the down or up position for long periods of time. It is recommended that they be lowered/raised at least once per month to aid continual smooth operation.
The manual retractable bollard should not be ‘dropped’ down, rather it should be assisted down with the operator holding the handle as the bollard is lowered.
Servicing is recommended at least once every year.

Dugite Removable Bollards

  • Installation:
Our removable bollard sleeve is installed 500mm into the ground, in an aggregate and concrete footing. The hinged lid acts to cover the hole during times that access is required and the bollard is removed. This prevents the sleeve from becoming obstructed by sand, rubbish etc, as well as protecting passers by from losing their heels down the hole.
  • Maintenance:
Servicing is recommended once every two years.

Dugite Permanent Bollards

  • Installation:
Permanent bollards are installed 725mm into the ground with aggregate and concrete. The bollard is then filled with concrete prior to placement of the metal cap.
  • Maintenance:
Servicing not required unless the bollard is hit. Call out service available to dig out and replace or straighten bollards.
