DESIGN WITHOUT COMPROMISE
APN June/July 2008
D3 Group designed a curving Hi-Macs sculpture for Gunnersens stand at Designex.

Gunnersen commissioned the D3 Group to design the LG Hi-Macs stand at Designex 2008. The brief from Gunnersen sought a sleek and sophisticated display to illustrate the theme design without compromise.

D3s design concept included a curving thermoformed sculpture using Hi-Macs as the stands focal point. Gunnersen and D3 worked with Schiavello to realize the concept.

At 3.6 metres high, with seamless joins and soft curves, the sculpture drew plenty of attention and clearly showcased the flexibility of the Hi-Macs material.

High-quality Hi-Macs is renowned for its durability, versatility and lasting beauty. As an alternative to engineered stone and laminate, it can be thermoformed, has seamless joins and can be renewed without the entire surface being replaced. It is non-porous, hygienic and does not absorb spillage or odour.
