Smaragd Original, Smaragd Classic and Smaragd Marble are designed for heavy traffic commercial areas with high demands for wear resistance and ease of maintenance. The products are constructed from a wear layer of transparent, polyurethane- coated PVC and a sanded backing of filled PVC. The wear layer consists of 99.3% pure plasticized PVC and 0.7% colour pigments. The wear layer contains coloured PVC granules (not Smaragd, Marble). The products are glass-fibre reinforced for dimension stability and are constructed for heat welding.
