MARMOLEUM meet the requirements of EN 548.
| Fire resistance |
Complies with performance requirement CP4 of BCA 96. Evidence of suitability, clause A2.2, (i) Technical Appraisal, December 1999 (CSIRO) and (ii) Certificate of Accreditation, October 2002 (planning NSW). |
| Inflammability |
In accordance with ISO 6925: difficult to ignite. |
| EN 1399. |
Marks left on linoleum as a result of stubbed-out cigarettes can be easily removed. Sandpaper gently and apply a new coat of polish. Linoleum does not melt. |
| Castor resistance |
In accordance with EN 425: suitable for office chairs with castors. |
| Antistatic |
Static charge on persons remains under 2 KV, measured in accordance with EN 1815/ISO-TR 6356. Test material is stuck to a standard subfloor using a standard adhesive.
Marmoleum ohmex: Electrical resistance in accordance with EN 1081/DIN 51953: 1.106 <R1<1.108 Ohm. Meets IBM / ICL requirements. |
| Safety resistance |
Measured in accordance with VDE 0100/T600: > 5.104 Ohm. |
| Impact sound reduction |
In accordance with ISO 717-2: max. 6 dB. A higher figure of >= 14 dB can be achieved by installing a 2.0 mm Corkment underlay (Marmoleum acoustic). |
| Colour fastness |
In accordance with ISO 105-B02, method 3:
minimum blue scale 6. Depending on the colour, the colour fastness is usually higher, often being 8 (blue scale maximum is 8). The samples may differ slightly from the material supplied. |
| Indentation resistance |
In accordance with EN 433 (req.: =< 0.15 mm):
2.0 mm: ± 0.07 mm
2.5 mm: ± 0.08 mm
3.2 mm: ± 0.10 mm
4.0 mm: ± 0.13 mm (req.: =< 0.20 mm)
Marmoleum acoustic: ± 0.30 mm (req.: =< 0.40 mm)

| Chemical resistance |
In accordance with EN 423:
Marmoleum is resistant to diluted acids, oils, fats and to the conventional solvents, such as alcohol, white spirit etc.
Not resistant to prolonged exposure to alkalis. |
