Flexitec Rubber Surfaces is a division of Tyre Recyclists Pty. Ltd., a fully-owned subsidiary of Rasma Holding Pty Ltd. that owns or has interests in a diverse range of businesses including cement and lime wholesaling, Debco horticultural products, five cattle exports and rubber recycling.
Trading as Flexitec Rubber Surfaces, the company is Australia's largest manufacturer of rubber pavers, producing a wide range of rubber paving products for equine, playground, gymnasium and pedestrian applications. The company expanded the product range about 3 years ago to include a range of specialty equestrian rubber surfacing having identified market demands for such a service.
Since 1978, Tyre Recyclists has been converting waste tyre rubber into a range of marketable rubber products that are sold nationally and internationally to a variety of customers.
Tyre Recyclists has state-of-the-art Rubber Paving manufacturing equipment with technology licensed from one of Europe's leading companies, who have been making pavers since the early 1980s. This equipment is the only one of its kind in Australia.
Rubber buffings from used tyres are processed and then tested to ensure they are within the specifications for each product. This is conveyed to computer-controlled equipment that weighs the charge of buffings for each paver, adds precise weights of binder, catalyst and pigment (if required) and automatically mixes the charge for the required time. The paver is then moulded at a controlled temperature under a force of 30 tonnes, ensuring very strong, consistent and hard-wearing pavers.
Flexitec Pavers and Stable Mats have been successfully installed for equine areas in Qatar, Dubai (U.A.E.), Philippines, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia. Non-equine installations have been carried out in U.S.A., New Zealand, Indonesia, Taiwan, Brunei, Papua New Guinea and Australia.
Where appropriate, products are tested to ensure compliance with all relevant standards and our quality assurance procedures ensure consistent quality in all production. Specific warranties are applied to all our products depending on type and end use.
Stable Mats are manufactured to exacting tolerances and the 19mm version carries a 10-Year Warranty against manufacturing defects. They have been installed in floats of all types, stall floors and walls, wash bays, horse walker paths and round yard walls. Users report excellent results in bedding volume savings (up to 60%), reduced incidence of scuffed hocks and other injuries from slips and falls. |
