Latchways are recognized as the industry leader in fall protection and the systems set the standards for quality and efficiency the world over.
Latchways is acknowledged as the first company to successfully develop and market engineered cable based fall protection systems.
They developed and patented the Latchways Transfastener® which enables hands free access for working at height while ensuring safety in the event of a fall. The Transfastener is used on the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb. To be used in such a high profile and highly trafficked environment proves is its reliability, safety and functionality.
With the continuous research into improving worker safety at height, Latchways produced the innovative Constant Force® post. The Constant Force® post system for roofing simplifies ankle height cable systems. It is affixed directly to the roof, negating the requirements for full thickness penetrations to the structural framework. Placing protection where it is need most rather than being governed by the locations of structural framework.
The Constant Force® post has an integral energy absorbing coil that limits load to a pre determined level. The load transferred onto a roofing panel is guaranteed not to exceed 10kN.
The Constant Force® post provides full technical and aesthetic compatibility with modern roofs while meeting all the regulatory requirements for protecting worker safety at height. Its innovative design offers many benefits:
Roof panels are not damaged in the event of a fall
Fixing details protect the integrity of the roof
Helps comply with thermoregulation requirements (Part J).
Can be used for fall restraint and fall arrest systems
Can be colour matched to the roof panel to blend with the architectural design
Compatible with virtually all types of modern roofing systems
Approved, recommended, and tested by all major roofing manufacturers
Fitted by Latchways registered installers ensuring quality workmanship and safety
Quick and easy to install
Quality Assurance
Due to the nature of fall protection, every part of every system is individually numbered, batch inspected with X-ray inspection and either dye penetrate or magnetic particle analysis. The minimum standard is that every component will perform to a safety factor of two - a quality standard unsurpassed in the industry.
