DTAC™ Tactile Indicators are manufactured in compliance with Australian and New Zealand Standard 1428.4:2002 (Design for Access and Mobility Part 4: Tactile Indicators), and The Building Code of Australia Section Clause 3.8.

All DTAC™ products have undergone independent testing and certification for slip resistance and luminance contrast as required by the Standards as detailed above. The testing methods are to the mandatory classification as set out in HB 197:1999 (An introductory Guide to Slip Resistance of Pedestrian Surface Materials).

These consist of the approved tests:



AS/NZS 4586 (1999) Apdx A (WET PENDULUM 4S & TRRL SLIDER)
AS/NZS 4586 (1999) Apdx C (WET / BAREFOOT RAMP TEST)
AS/NZS 4586 (1999) Apdx D (OIL / WET RAMP TEST)
AS/NZS 1428.4 (2002) Apdx F (LUMINANCE TEST)
