Boral Plasterboard has introduced the Quiet Living catalogue profiling noise-reduction plasterboard systems.
The changes in lifestyle and living habits over the past decade mean that, increasingly, noise is intruding in people’s daily lives. With Boral’s new Quiet Living systems incorporating SoundStop plasterboard, architects and builders can offer clients a simple and cost-effective solution to upgrade acoustic isolation within their homes.
Quiet Living systems are recommended for any wall or floor/ceiling that separates a noisy area (for example, the kitchen, dining rooms or kids’ bedroom) from a quiet area (the main bedroom or home office). In two-storey homes with tiled or bare timber floors, a Quiet Living ceiling system is recommended to reduce footstep noise from above to the room below.
