High Wall D-Stud System -
• Easily installed
• Excellent acoustics
• Economical
• Fire rated
Sound isolation The acoustic performance of the D-Stud Wall System can be tailored to design requirements by varying plasterboard layers and thicknesses and acoustic insulation. The staggered stud format of the wall provides impact sound isolation where required by the Building Code of Australia. The D-Stud Wall System has been tested up to STC55 in Low Rise Walls and up to STC72 in High Wall Systems (also satisfying the low frequency performance criteria for cinema construction).
Economical With fewer materials and contractors (the drywall contractor can complete most of the construction), the D-Stud System is rapid and easy to build on site, meaning faster construction and substantial cost savings.
Lightweight Lighter than other systems, the D-Stud System requires less foundation size and storage space and related costs.
Fire resistance The D-Stud System is capable of up to 2 hours fire resistance. The system can be constructed to achieve fire resistance ratings to meet various design requirements.
Structural stability The D-Stud System can provide walls up to 13.4 metres in height without strapping or nogging, that are extremely stable and capable of withstanding design pressures without rotation or torsional buckling.
