Capacity & Load Tables
Wind pressure capacities are based on tests conducted at BlueScope Building Products' NATA registered testing laboratory. Testing was conducted in accordance with AS 1562.1 - 1992, Design and Installation of Sheet Roof and Wall Cladding. and AS 4040.2 - 1992, Resistance to Wind Pressure for Non-cyclonic Regions.
Tests conducted to determine wind pressure capacities are based on AS 4040.2 - 1992.
The wind pressure capacities for LYSAGHT MULTILINE® 0.35 mm BMT are applicable when fixed using 10 - 16 x 16 wafer head self-drilling and tapping screws with either three or six fasteners per sheet support.
Servicability Limit State is based on a deflection limit of:
(span/120) + (P/30), P is the maximum fastener pitch.
The pressure capacities for Strength Limit State have been determined by testing the cladding to failure (ultimate capacity). These pressures are applicable when the cladding is fixed to a minimum of 0.60 mm stud material. To obtain the design capacity of sheeting, a capacity reduction factor should be applied.

Notes:
1. To obtain permissible stresses from this table, take the lower of serviceability or 55.5% of strength values. |
An additional bending test was carried out on the LYSAGHT MULTILINE®/ LYSAGHT SUPRAFRAME® system, using the No. 8 - 18 x 12 mm Hex head TEKS. The frame with stud spacing 750 mm, with the screws fastened vertically at every pan, horizontally at every stud and one screw between studs, withstood a bending load of 2.4 kPa.
NOTE:
This information is suitable for use only in non-cyclonic areas, that is where a tropical cyclone is unlikely to occur, in accordance with AS 1170.2 - 1989, SAA Loading Code, Part 2, Wind Loads.
