Spanning Tables
The maximum recommended support spacings are based on testing in accordance with AS 1562.1 1992, Design and Installation of Sheet Roof and Wall Cladding and AS 4040.1 - 1992, Resistance to Concentrated Loads **.

These roof spacings are the maximum recommended for adequate performance of the roof cladding under foot traffic loading.

These wall spacings are the maximum recommended for buildings up to 10 m high in Region B Terrain Category 3 conditions (Vs = 38 m/s and Vu = 60 m/s), using Cpe = 0.65, Cpi = 0.2 and Kl = 2.0).

These spacings may be reduced by the Serviceability and Strength Limit States for the particular project under consideration.

Capacity & Load Tables
The wind pressure capacities are based on tests carried out at BlueScope's NATA Registered Testing Laboratory.

Testing was carried out in accordance with AS 1562.1 - 1992, Design and Installation of Sheet Roof and Wall Cladding and AS 4040.2 - 1992, Resistance to wind pressures for non-cyclonic regions.**

The table for wind pressure capacities provides pressure versus span data for serviceability and strength limit state design.

Serviceability Limit State is based on a deflection limit of: (span/120) + (P/30), where P is the maximum fastener pitch.

The pressure capacities for Strength Limit State have been determined by testing the cladding to failure, (ultimate capacity). These pressures are applicable to the cladding being fixed to a minimum of 1.0 mm material (G550).

To obtain the design strength capacity of the sheeting a capacity reduction factor should be applied
(ø = 0.9).
