Australia - introducing new tempest stylist range by Staron™ surfaces, Samsung.
Friday 26th September 2008

Now available in Australia - The new Tempest Stylist Range – 8 new colours!

The alternative solid surface - Tempest by Staron™ Surfaces Samsung, is a solid surface alternative specifically designed with a look that rivals natural stone and quartz. Tempest surfaces can be crafted into shapes and configurations nearly impossible with stone or quartz. Tempest is a high-performance acrylic surfacing material with an incredible array of benefits.

Unique Colours – The new color series, branded Tempest Stylist, exudes rich, natural color tones. The new Tempest Stylist Range includes, Confection, Sandpiper, Sonoma, Whippoorwill, Zenith, Gold Leaf, Blaze and Radiance. The series provides an upscale, designer-grade product to professionals and homeowners who are seeking a unique surface for any residential or commercial project. There is a Tempest color-choice to complement any residential or commercial interior.

Amazing Depth - The visual difference is in Tempest’s larger, clear particulate, which gives the material an amazing depth not seen before in solid surface. The combination of a quartz appeal and solid surface practically makes Tempest the ideal surface for any residential or commercial application.

Features and Benefits - Tempest offers all the features and benefits that designers and end-users demand of a solid surface, including seamless appearance and non-porous, hygienic properties. It is durable, UV & stain-resistant, easy-to-clean, and repairable. Being renewable it can be refinished to look like new. It is an extremely healthy countertop choice as it is nonporous, so bacteria, mould and moisture cannot penetrate its surface.

Unlike other surfaces, the inherent design versatility of Tempest allows it to be formed into almost any shape or size. Decorative edge treatments, colour inlays and specialized options including routed drainage channels leading to the sink and heat rails next to stoves for hot items are also available. Imperceptible seams, plus the option to incorporate sinks or bowls, enable designers to customize a one-of-a-kind integrated solid-surface countertop system.

Food Safety approval - Tempest’s acrylic solid surface is NF51 certified. Acrylic is one of the few materials approved for countertops in commercial food service areas and in health care facilities where hygiene and resistance to pathogens is important.

Environmental - Tempest is Greenguard certified having met the requirements of two GREENGUARD certification programs, GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality and GREENGUARD for Children & Schools.

Quality assurance – Tempest is manufactured to ISO 9001 Quality Assurance Standards and ISO 14001 Environment Management Standards. Tempest is Class I fire-rated and can be specified for use in public, interior spaces as well as being a durable option for residential countertops.

Staron® Tempest is available nationally within Australia through the exclusive distributors Austaron Pty Ltd. For more information, to request a brochure or to view the new Tempest Stylist Range please visit the website www.staron.com.au.
